Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
There are two things I want you to notice in today’s grace tablet and they are “The Kingdom” and “In Earth”. We love the idea that heaven is a future destination and for many years believers have been more prepared to die and go be with the Lord than to live a fulfilling life on earth even though Jesus said I have come to give you abundant life now, we live below our true potential, but is shouldn’t be so and here is why.
- The Kingdom is within us: Jesus said this when asked by the pharisees when the kingdom shall come in Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
- God’s will is to be done on earth NOW.
The Kingdom of God is not such a complicated issue as it simply means Christ in us, it also means just the same thing as the kingdom of Heaven. In the New testament only Mathew uses Kingdom of heaven while in Mark, Luke and John we see Kingdom of God used, they mean the exact same thing. The important thing to note is that God’s Kingdom is in every single believer and the task at hand is sharing that Kingdom on earth right now with others not after we die.
We carry the fullness of God withing us and we need to be conscious of this truth and live like a god. Jesus does not want you to desire the perfection in heaven without experiencing it here on earth so he instructed us to bring everything we want to manifestation here on earth today. Is there sickness in heaven? No, therefore when you fall sick your reaction should be to reject the sickness, is there lack in heaven? No, therefore we should not accept any kind of lack in our lives because His will should be done here on earth just as it is in heaven.
Finally in other to bring heaven to earth all we need to do is realize that with Christ we got all we could ever have because as Jesus is, so are we. (1 John 4:17 – …….. because just as Jesus is, so also are we in this world.) Even if the scripture said as Jesus was that would be just great because as He was He healed the sick, raised the dead, walked on water and many more awesome things. But the scripture says as He is now which is better because it is referring to the glorified Jesus seated at the right hand of God, we are exactly like him not we will be like Him one day or in heaven, we are exactly like Him right now in this world. We became like him the moment he came into our lives. Glorayyyyyyyy.
With this you need to wake up everyday realizing that bringing God’s kingdom to earth simply means Christ in you and Christ through you. We already have His fullness all we have to do is release it into every situation in our lives here on earth. Walk daily knowing you have the kingdom in you and do not pass through life without exerting it here on earth.
A Christian is not called to live an ordinary life but a supernatural life.
Thought of the week: Heaven is not a future event only, we can start living like we are in heaven right here on earth by the power of Christ in us
